In the Bathroom
Handheld Shower
For those who sit in the bath tub or shower, and use a bath seat, a handheld shower may assist. It attaches to the shower head or bath tub faucet, and can be positioned within the individual's reach.

Grab Bars
Grab bars or rails aid at getting into and out of the bathtub or shower. Also, for those leg amputees who take a shower, either with or without an artificial limb, grab bars help to maintain balance and to turn around in the shower. Non-slip mats or threads are a must for the bathtub.

Toothpaste Squeezer
A simple press of the handle (which could be expanded) is ideal for one-handed use or with an artificial limb. It can be mounted with an adhesive strip to the bathroom wall.

Suction Brush
Suction cups hold the brush in place on the side of the sink, enabling the amputee to scrub their hand.

Bath Chairs/Boards
Shower seats may be beneficial for those who do not stand, but rather sit in the shower or bath tub. These seats, which have rubber tips or suction cups at the end of the legs, can be placed directly in the bath tub or shower. A similar item is a bathboard which fits on bath tubs of various widths.
